Veterans who have not yet filed their claims or who need help with filing a claim should first seek out a veteran’s service organization (VSO) to assist with filing a claim for benefits. A simple internet search can reveal contact information for VSOs which are numerous, highly capable, and eager to help veterans, often for little or no cost.

If your claim has been denied, you should ask your VSO to assist you with the initial appeals process. If your appeal makes it to the Board of Veteran’s Appeals (BVA), and you are denied, it is now time to contact AA Law Firm, P.A. to review your claim to see if anything can be done. As a claim travels up the appeals ladder, it becomes necessary to introduce more complicated and technical aspects of the law which requires the skills, knowledge, and expertise of a licensed attorney. Remember, if your appeal is denied at the BVA level, you have 120 days to appeal the denial to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, so don’t delay.
